Remember when I was saying I finally have fingernails? I attributed it to Hoof Saver, but now I have the idea that it also is attributable to my ingestion of two large Calcium plus Vitamin D per day. Any way, I now have fantastic fingernails. Wow. I love it.
I am slowly getting up to speed as I recover from my trip. One of the things I love is watching the birds and the bunnies. Both come and eat the bird seed. The bunnies from the ground after the birds have knocked it there. Both the bunny and the birds are all fluffed up to fight the cold. Three sparrows are outside my window as I type.

It is some below zero here the last few days. I am hibernating until tomorrow when it is purported to be in top 20's., I have a bunch of things to keep me busy. A new tapestry to hook, a new book --it's the beginning of a rhyming poem. will my talents never end! oops, the beginning of a joke! I watched the wildlife outside feed over the weekend. It is with amusement that we watch the rabbits and squirrels compete for the same food source.
On a sad note, we have had at least one pair of cardinals in our yard for the past several years and now Jeffrey recently discovered a deceased male in our yard. We believe it is Linus. He had named them Linus and Rose. We have been fortunate to see them almost daily.
It certainly takes more time than one imagines it would to get back into the normal swing of things after a trip.
Sharon here: Shucks on the hoof saver, I now have a HUGE container of hoof saver which I have been putting on my nails for a month. I actually think it is helping, I'm waiting for them to totally grow out and then I will report.
I have been reading a book by one of the monks from Blue Cloud, it is about lay people and the Benidictine way of life. Very interesting, I will pass it to you when I am done. Carol Jean has read the book about Rhawanda, does this thing have spell check? If not my spelling will be revealed!
Oh yeah. I have a sweet husband who makes sure my birdfeeder outside my bathroom window stays full so I can watch them as I get ready in the morning!! I have finches (both red and gold), several different woodpeckers, nuthatches, chickadee's, and every once in awhile God blesses me wth a cardinal right on my feeder!!! I have pictures to prove. And last spring I had a blue bunting come a few times.
