Blue Cloud Abbey

As we were leaving Blue Cloud Abbey in South Dakota, we prevailed upon Colleen to snap a picture of us in the entry. As you can see, we are a motley crowd.

We had an inspirational time. We could sleep, talk, walk, watch DVD's, eat... and eat... and eat.
Well, it defies description. We plan to go again next year (or sooner, if possible) but stay longer. If you would like to go there, let me know as I have the info. I guess going mid-week is smart.

I know it is hard to imagine, but I am speechless. (Typeless?)

Take care.

Your visit to the Abbey in South Dakota prompted me to get out my copy of Kathleen Norris' "Dakota" where she pays frequent visits to the Monastery there. I remember going to a St. Benedictine monastery which had transformed it into a meeting for conferences --mine was a library one, of course. But it was an unforgettably lovely day. I love your picture. Fran.

I think the Blue Cloud Abbey is the Kathleen Norris Abbey. It is such a great place to relax and discuss books or anything else that is on your mind! Yippee.

It is better to be speechless or in this case typeless than to be thoughtless. I don't mean thoughtless in a malicious sort of way either. The term dumbfounded maybe is better but then again not. Speechless sounds like the best term.

At any rate I think is great that we can experience life to its fullest whenever we are given the opportunity.

Whew!! KL I think you need to give your mind a rest!! Speechless, typeless, thoughtless . . . How many cups of coffee did you have anyway?? HAHA

GUESS WHAT??????

I drove by "Clara's Place" the other day and the sign said they will be opening May 23rd!!!! For those of you who don't know . . . . It is our Traditional Birthday excursion for Vicki and I to go there and get a bite to eat and something to drink after looking at all the cute things in her shop. We sit out back on the patio under these huge pine trees and look at the lake. It is one of the highlights of my summer!! So, imagine the horror of hearing that they might not open this year?? God LOVES us!!

I LOVE the picture from the Abbey. I am so glad you were able to go and have a wonderful time!!
